Making every pixel count

The InView is a disposable quantitative diagnostic device for patient blood and urine testing. The challenge was to establish UI requirements for a usable product with an interface budget that totaled only a few pennies. Field research included PCP offices, clinical labs, and hospital bedsides. The resulting interface design displays instructions and test results, which automatically scroll through at a pace comfortable to health professionals and patients who may need to record information.
